Why do you go red when you are embarrassed?
You blush because of a chemical reaction that causes a rush of blood to the head when any number of emotional responses happens.
Why do you go pale when you are cold?
Your blood vessels move closer to your bone therefore further from skin so it looks less red. This happens so your blood in your blood vessels is warmer so your extremities don't cool it down as much and cool your body down.
Why is blood red?
Blood is red from the protein, hemoglobin. Hemoglobin has a molecule called a heme, which has the metal iron in it. When the iron is oxygenated, it becomes red. When the iron is deoxygenated, it becomes blue. This is why your veins are blue.

Then we waited 2 minutes and measured it again, we then waited another 2 minutes and then measured our pulse again, we did this again and again, until we had measured our pulse 5 times.
